The 1st annual Long Drive Competition was held at Perry Golf & Country Club on Saturday, October 19th. The event was held as a fund raiser for the hole #2 pond pump. The age groups were for men and women; 60+, 18-59 and 14-17. Three contestants participated, all in the 14-17 age group. The winners were:
Gauge Freeman – Driver @ 233 yards
Makena Burrell – 3 Wood @ 156 yards
Gauge Freeman – 7 Iron @ 176 yards
Also participating was Gavin Landgrebe
Thank you to the participants and judges Jan Cone and Don Stracke. This will be an annual fund raising event, with projects TBD. Hopefully we can fill the course with all age groups next year!
